He's one mofo of a drummer. And you'll see him first at the Montréal Drum Fest—meaning you'll catch him before the other festivals come calling. This is what we do at Drum Fest; invariably we schedule one or two “dark horses”, relative unknowns who deserve wider recognition. And the Tuesday following Moritz's performance, switchboards will light up with calls from MD and PASIC and NAMM, wanting a piece of the action. Meanwhile the Internet will be chattering and twittering about this Mueller fellow. You will smile knowingly because you caught him at Drum Fest and know he's no new drum poster boy: he's a force to be reckoned with.

Bavarian-born in 1985, Moritz plays drums for The Intersphere, a band that fills European concert halls to the rafters (coming soon to a theater near you). To oversimplify, think Incubus, a more familiar benchmark. Both bands feature quality compositions and dynamite drummers. When Moritz is not gigging with Intersphere, he's not short of work. Recently his clinics have been generating a good buzz.
Seriously, you're in for a suite of new ideas—fresh ways of combining strokes and sounds. Ralph Angelillo booked Moritz solely on the basis of his playing—in case you're wondering how these things work. No politics, no commerce, just raw talent sufficient to make one man invite another to perform far from home at a prestigious international festival.
